Become a Licensed Massage Therapist in as little as 30 weeks!

Massage today is received regularly by millions of people, some for variety of medical reasons, and by others simply because it makes them feel great. Plus it is now commonplace to find Licensed Massage Therapists working with Chiropractic Physicians and receiving referrals from Medical Doctors. Truly, the ancient art of Massage Therapy has been rediscovered by our modern world.

Florida has been at the forefront of the massage revolution and thus many people throughout the country seek out Florida schools for their Massage Therapy training. In fact, to date we have trained students from 41 states and 5 foreign countries.

With our 600 hour massage therapy program, you learn not only the fundamentals needed to start your career as a therapist, but also practical hands-on training in a real-world setting to prepare you to administer a skilled Swedish Massage. With our 900 hour therapeutic massage and allied modalities program, you learn not only the materials and practices of the 600 hour massage therapy course, but get to use medical devices such as e-stim machines, near infrared light therapy and ultrasound, and also learn various allied modalities that graduates may encounter in various health care and spa settings, such as:

  • Medical massage
  • Sports massage
  • Neuromuscular massage
  • Trigger point massage
  • Reflexology
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Nutrition and Chinese medicine

Students have the option of completing one of two Massage Therapy Training Programs which have been approved by the Council on Occupational Education, Florida Department of Education CIE, and Florida Department of Health. You can be licensed as a Massage Therapist in about 20 weeks. We offer both day and evening classes, which meet Monday through Friday as well as offer part-time programs. Classes begin every 6 weeks!

Students who graduate our program consistently are amazed at how much information they learn in such a short period of time, giving them the skills to administer a wonderful massage. By doing so, our graduates get a jump-start into their new careers without spending years in school. Florida Academy graduates work everywhere, from five star resorts like the Ritz Carlton Naples to day spas like Massage Envy. In addition, some Florida Academy graduates have opened their own spas, while others have decided to work in physician and chiropractic offices.
